30 Day Anime Challenge – Day 10

Through all of September, I’m doing a 30 Day Anime Challenge inspired by Keiko. It’s the first time I’ll be tackling a challenge like this.

Every day I will be answering a question laid out in the picture below to the best of my abilities. I hope you will enjoy it.

Day 10 – What anime destroyed you emotionally?

Many have done so, on various emotional levels as well. Some have angered me so much that I needed a few days to cool off. Others have made me laugh to the point of it being painful but you can’t stop laughing.

Though I think for a question like this. We want the more saucy stuff, asking the question like “what made you destroyed so much that to this day you will still feel the impact when thinking about it?”

Again, I’ve watched so many. Four was, for example, pointed out in yesterday’s post. Here I talked about Wolf Children, The Garden of Words, The First Pokémon Movie, and even One Piece. Every single one of them had me in tears at certain points.

So instead I will rather choose a series known as Clannad: After Story.

clannad after story

It’s the continuation of the storyline from Clannad, where Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Furukawa grow up, get married and have a child together. There’s one infamous scene that still to this day haunts me as I want to have kids of my own one day and would not see this happen in my own arms.

For those of you who have watched this series, you know exactly what scene I’m talking about. For the ones who haven’t, go watch Clannad and then Clannad: After Story, then let it be known in the comments what you thought of it.

Last Thoughts

What anime destroyed you emotionally? You can choose whatever emotion fits as an answer and let it be known down in the comments below. I’m very interested in knowing which one it was.

If you missed it, then you can read yesterday’s entry in this 30 day anime challenge I’m doing throughout all of September for the first time.
Hope you enjoyed it and want to see more, I will be uploading every day with my answers for the challenge. Follow along on and be a part of the conversation.

Stay Cozy and have a nice day!

  1. Grave of the Fireflies. I recently saw a meme that showed the cover with the lighting turned up and the “fireflies” in question where actually the lights from falling bombs as a bomber was revealed.
